Founded by Michael Righton, a teacher, and Victor Saunders, a mountain guide, Thin Air Adventures Ltd aims to provide students with a stimulating and exciting introduction to the alpine environment and mountain activities.
CHAMONIX
Victor Saunders has over twenty years experience of climbing in Britain, the Alps, the Andes and across the Himalaya and the Karakorum. His 45 (and counting) expeditions include successful ascents of Everest, Cho Oyu and Vinson in Antarctica. These are the mountains most people will have heard of, but his real contribution to climbing has been in a series of bold exploratory expeditions to previously unclimbed peaks in the Himalayas.
Victor became a mountain guide in 1996 and is a member of both the British and French mountain guides' associations.
An experienced ski guide and ski mountaineer, Victor is also the author of two books, Elusive Summits and No Place
to Fall.
Michael Righton teaches at Stowe School in Buckinghamshire and has been leading outdoor trips throughout Europe and North America over the twenty years of his teaching career.
Michael is a qualified Mountain Leader and has extensive experience taking students of all ages into the mountains. He has climbed and trekked in the Alps, the Rockies,
New Zealand and the Himalayas.
